MALINAU, North Kalimantan – In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), which falls on October 5, 2025, the Military District Command (Kodim) 0910/Malinau held a solemn and spirited ceremony. The event took place at the Kodim 0910/Malinau Parade Ground, Jl. Pusat Pemerintahan, Malinau Hulu Village, Malinau Kota District, Malinau Regency, on Sunday (October 5, 2025).
The ceremony was led by the Malinau Police Chief as the Inspector of Ceremony and was attended by TNI soldiers from the Kodim 0910/Malinau ranks, Police personnel, Satpol PP, community organizations, students, as well as the Malinau Regency Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum). The presence of these various elements served as a real manifestation of synergy and solidarity in safeguarding the unity and sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
In his address, the Malinau Police Chief conveyed his highest appreciation for the dedication and service of the TNI over the past 80 years in defending the country’s sovereignty and protecting the Indonesian people. Carrying the theme “TNI PRIMA, TNI OF THE PEOPLE, ADVANCING INDONESIA”, the TNI is expected to continue strengthening its professionalism, upholding neutrality, and remaining close to the people in carrying out its duties.
“Eighty years of TNI’s journey is clear proof of unwavering dedication in safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation, protecting the people, and being at the forefront in facing various challenges. The synergy of TNI-Police together with all components of the nation is the key to realizing an advanced and sovereign Indonesia,” he said.
The commemoration of the 80th TNI Anniversary also served as an important momentum to strengthen solidarity between the TNI, Police, local government, and all elements of society in maintaining security stability and supporting national development, especially in the border areas of Malinau Regency.
Separately, Commander of Kodim 0910/Malinau, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Mochammad Syaiful Arif, S.I.P., expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support of all parties in organizing this 80th TNI Anniversary. He emphasized that the TNI remains committed to being the protector and guardian of the people.
“The commemoration of the 80th TNI Anniversary is not just a ceremony, but also a momentum for us to continuously improve professionalism, strengthen synergy with all elements of the nation, and ensure that the presence of the TNI is always felt by the people. We will always be ready to serve for the unity of NKRI and the welfare of the people,” he said.
He also added that the TNI will continue to adapt to the times without abandoning its identity as the people’s army, the army of fighters, the national army, and a professional army, concluded the Dandim.
